6 months old!

Chesney is growing so fast, I find myself saying that all the time!! We went for her six month checkup and the doc said she is doing so good. She weighed 12.5 pounds was 24" long and her head is 40 cm. She is on the scale for six months olds in her length and head, her weight is in the bottom 1/3 but that she is on the scale at all is good. She is rolling all over the place and starting to get up on her knees. Don't know that I am ready for her to start crawling? Hopefully we still have a little while! She tries to sit and can stay up if she is bent all the way over that belly of hers. We got her a bumbo and she seems to like it, for about 20 mins that is usually how long she lasts at doing anything. We only have one more RSV shot! I can't wait it is so hard to watch her go thru that every 28 days. But so worth it if it keeps her healthy! Counting down the days til summer, so ready to go for walks and sit outside!!

Happy Valentines Day

Well we made it back from southern utah, we enjoyed the couple days of sunshine and the couple days of rain. We even got to take Chesney for a walk in her stroller and she loved it actually fell asleep can't wait for summer in Wyo so we can get outside, getting a little stir crazy! We got Chesney her RSV shot on Tuesday, poor thing, it doesn't get any easier watching her get shots. She weighed 11 pounds 1 oz the doc said she is gaining weight good. While we were in St. Geore she was spoiled by everyone, she loves attention. She loves to look around and observe everything. She has started watching when you are eating she even opens her mouth. Too bad the poor thing doesn't get to eat for 4 more months. I know I am a mean mom but the doc said usually to wait til six months and with her being premature we needed to wait two months after that. And with everything we go thru with Matt's allergies it is not worth it to me. What she doesn't know she is missing out on won't hurt her right! :) Grammy bought Chesney a jumper play thing and although she is a little small for it still she loves to look at all the stuff on it and she actually jumps on phone books. Daisy is learning to not go near her after a couple times of getting a hand full of hair pulled out. But the dog is good and just looks at her and walks away after Ches attacks her. Chesney lost alot of hair on the top of her head and I was begining to think she was going to be a bald baby like I....but she has been getting new hair in and it is DARK. Guess we will just watch and see what color it turns out to be. But I can not wait to put in pony tails and curls. Mom said she hopes that Chesney fights me as much as I did her, but I am sure I will not be as mean as I remember that she was :)

Growing up too quick

Chesney is growing up right before our eyes. It seems like overnight she went from our little 3 pounder to now 11 pounds and rolling over. Ches has always been very squirmy and everyone has always told me once she gets going to watch out. Well she is pretty much rolling over she can get from her tummy to her back and almost all the way back but she can't figure out how to get over her arm. She loves to talk and when she is upset it is more of a yelling fit then crying fit. We are going on tuesday to get another RSV shot and then off to St. George, for a little rest and relaxation. Can't wait for Mom, Judd and Dad to see her and how much she has changed!! And maybe for me to get in a nap or two!!!

Days go by...

Time seems to be flying since I became a mom. I kinda want time to stand still, everyone keeps saying before I know it she will be going off to school. I want her to stay little and cuddly for atleast a little while longer. She is loving to look at everything and everyone, she is so aware of her surrondings. She has started smiling and cooing, it is so cute. Hope to put up a video of her soon, but as soon as the camcorder comes out she just stares at it! She should in no way be camera shy as many pics as she gets taken. Chesney is 5 months old as of monday! I can't believe it!! She has gotten over the colic and has been a really good baby. She is sleeping about 6 to 7 hours at night, I don't know what to do with my self, she also naps really good during the day. For the last couple days she had started being fussy again and was not eating but every 6 hours and that was a struggle to get her to eat then. I just knew something was wrong but didn't know if I was overacting or what. Well it was that thing they call mothers instinct!! Next time I will listen to it much sooner! Poor little thing has an ear infectiona, that is why she was not eating, hurts her to suck. Well we got her on anitbiotics and some numbing drops and now she is making up for the 4 days of not eating!! Chesney has been getting RSV shots she has had two already and we go again the first of Feb to get another, then two more in March and she will be done. It is so hard to watch her get stuck and be in pain, but I try to tell her it is much better then if she got sick! We went for her 4 month check up the begining of January! Besides getting lots of shots the doctor said she is doing great. She is doing some of the things that four month olds do which he was impressed with. She even measured on the 4 month old scale for her height, weight and head. Her head was in the 90th percentile, she has a big head :) which he said was great cause preemies usually have little heads. Her heighth was in the 50th percentile and her weight was in the bottom 25th. Which is great that she even in on that scale!! He said to make it thru winter and then we could start letting her have visitors and maybe even take her out in public!!! Like I will :) I am a bit overprotective!! Well that is it for now, just thought I would take a minute inbetween diaper changes, laundry, cleaning, feeding, and everything else that comes with this full time job, to update the blog.
