Update
So mom and I just went to see Chesney for her 8 o'clock feeding and when we got there, there was a bottle at her station!! That's right she got to eat from a bottle for the first time!! And she did so good for her first time the nurse said!! She ate 18 of her 30 cc's from the bottle and she didn't desate until she was done, and then she was tuckered out! But the nurse said she did a really good job! What she doesn't eat from the bottle they feed her the rest in her feeding tube. We get to feed her from the bottle once a shift! I can't wait for Matt to get here tomorrow night so he can feed her. It is so exciting!!
More Pics
Little one is still doing so good. They took her off the oxygen today which makes her mom pretty nervous. But I got to hold her for about an hour and she did great! Hope she can keep up with all these changes and continue to do good. The nurse said that she was going to put in her notes how good she sucked on her binkie and that she recommended she start nippling (trying out the bottle). So we will see what the doctors think of that. She weighs 3 lbs 11 oz she gained back the weight she lost last night, so lets just hope she maintains her weight. We took in a little shirt and some socks for her to wear but she was sleeping so good, we didn't put them on her just yet. When she is sleeping we don't like to bug her, right now all the sleep she can get is the best thing!! But believe me as soon as we get those clothes on her we will take tons of pics!! We took in some pink blankets to put under her and over her, but I forgot the camera cord in E-town. Imagine that me forgetting something, now days I am just lucky to get myself out the door.

Our Little Girl is Growing UP!
Our little baby is getting bigger everyday. They have moved her to an open crib today. They said that most babies have to be moved back into the isolette but they are gonna see how she does in the crib. Her tiny body not only has to remember to breath and digest food, now it has to keep its self warm. I know these are all things she has to do to come home and I am praying she does good. Sometimes it feels like they are pushing her.

Update
Chesney is doing so good, I find myself hesitant to say that, but it is so obvious to see when you see her. She is on full breastmilk feedings every three hours, tonight she was on 30 cc's so about an ounce. She is weighing 3 lbs 11 ozs (depending on what nurse weighs her), almost four pounds. She is starting to fill out, her skin is not hanging on her any more. They have been cutting her back on the oxygen. Hopefully with in the next week or so they will start nippling her, (putting her to a bottle). Each of these steps is getting us closer to taking her home. I am pretty sure it will be another 4 if not more weeks, but I am trying to be ok with that cause I don't want her to go home til she is ready!!

One Month Old!!
Wow, I can not believe that Chesney is already 4 weeks old. I know everyday seemed like an eternity but looking back that month flew by. Here's to hoping the next one does also. I am hoping Matt will make it down today to see her and he is the picture man so hopefully tonight we will get some pics. Mom and I went and saw her about 11 this morning that is when they feed her, well they feed her every three hours 8, 11, 2, 5. So I try to be there during a feeding cause then they let me hold her since they have bugged her. We were too late and she was already asleep which is ok cause I want Matt to hold her tonight! Anyways she is doing good, for the most part. The doctors that take care of her are a three man team and we have only met two, and the third one came back from a month long vacation today, still have not met him tho. He put her on a high flow of oxygen trying to get her to stop all the desating she is doing. If that does not work then they are gonna check for reflux. She had her first eye exam today and the doc said he didn't see anything, so I am guessing that is a good sign. They are also starting her on half breast milk and half formula trying to get her switched over to all breast milk. I am very happy about that but also a bit weary since that is what she was on when she got her infection. Her weight is up to 3 lbs 4 oz so she is doing good in that area.
